A projector fog lamp focuses its light through a lens instead of an open reflector. The result is a sharper beam cut-off, less glare for oncoming drivers and more light placed low on the road, where it helps most in fog, rain and dust.
1. Pick the lens size
AutoYu projector fog lamps come in two housing sizes: 1.8-inch and 3-inch. The 1.8-inch housing suits tighter bumper openings; the 3-inch housing has a larger lens face. Check the space behind your bumper's fog-lamp opening before choosing.
2. Pick the wattage
Fog lamps are sold as pairs, so total output is per-lamp wattage × 2. The AutoYu range runs from 110W to 200W total. Higher wattage means more light output; every model uses a focused projector beam designed to reduce glare.
3. Bi-LED or tri-colour?
Bi-LED projectors concentrate on a single high-performance beam. Tri-colour projectors let you switch between three light colours, which some drivers prefer for changing weather conditions.
